In Fes in Morocco. Pottery exists in two kinds.
We make pottery with white clay (kaolin), also we make pottery with gray clay.
And for baking, white clay baked regularly in gas ovens.
On the other hand, gray clay is often fired in traditional ovens (wood-fired ovens or olive pits).
Both kinds of pottery from Fes are always fired twice.
The first time we put the pottery in the oven to get the cookie. And the second firing after painting and enameling.
