Jobbana refers to this type of pot, it comes from the Arabic jben: "cheese".
Originally, these lidded containers were used to curdle milk.
They were also used to preserve butter or harira, the soup with which one broke the fast, during the month of Ramadan.
The workshops of Fez had specialized in the production of this tableware adapted to the rich Moroccan cuisine.
Recently, this beautiful handcrafted pot has become a decorative object that can be easily integrated into our modern and traditional interior.
No traditional Moroccan house is free of these pots.
